Lovely room, lovely people. Good choice of breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. Chris went over and above to help with anything even driving us to the local zoo to help my partner who has COPD and was struggling with walking in the heat.Marvellous couple so too marks from us x

Belle Dene was like finding a real gem - friendly and comfortable - ideally positioned (close to the sea front, shops, restaurants and the bus and train stations).And, the best ever poached eggs for breakfast !!

This was our second visit to Belle Dene staying in room 1.The room was very spacious, clean, and a verycomfortable bed. Loved the little extras in the room giving it a special touch.The breakfast was spot on with lots of choice usingfresh local produce, noting was too much trouble.Great location, close to all the amenities and town centre.I would highly staying here and we will definitely be back for another visit

We have just had a lovelyfew days in Chris and Maria’s fabulous B&B . We were made to feel welcome right from the start and we immediately felt at home . Our room was spotlessly clean and there were so many added extras and shows that a great of thought has gone in to making their guests comfortable . Chris cooks an amazing breakfast too. My wife and I stayed at the Belle Dene Guest House from 24 to 27 July whilst looking at various properties for us to move to in Torbay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left Maria and Chris could not have been more friendly, accommodating and helpful.We stayed in room 5 (on the top floor) which was both extemely clean and comfortable, offering views toward the sea. The room had plenty of all the mod cons you would expect from a 4 star hotel and the breakfast was to die for. The off road car parking was an added bonus and allowed us to leave the car and visit the many bars and restaurants in Paignton by foot.We have since had an offer accepted on a property that we viewed and are now looking forward to becoming residents in Paignton. We aim to visit the Guest House and see Maria and Chris when we do eventually move as we certianly felt that we initially arrived as strangers but certainly left as friends.Thanks once again for making our stay so enjoyable.

As always Maria and Chris were very friendly and welcoming. Their guest house has a very high standard of cleanliness. The breakfast cooked by Chris is legendary! this sets you up for the day. Good quality food and really thick and tasty bacon served on a piping hot plate. The team work between Chris and Maria at breakfast ensures that we are served promptly and efficiently. This was my 4th stay with them, and I shall certainly return.

We had the pleasure of staying at Belle Dene guest house for the weekend. The room was spotless clean with above and beyond refinements one could wish for.very accommodating hosts who were happy to assist with any queries.The cooked breakfast is one of the best I've ever had!, Iwould go back there for that alone. It'sposition central to the town and sea front is fantastic and the adjacent park is lovely to walk around too. Will definitely be booking again soon. 🙂

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this lovely Bed & Breakfast. A perfect location in Paignton. We stayed in room 3, it was modern, cosy and clean. The breakfasts are incredible and Chris and Maria are amazing hosts, who we help you with any information you need of the local area and beyond. I can’t recommend this B&B highly enough. Immaculate room, good selection of toiletries and hot drinks topped up daily. Hosts were very polite and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. The breakfast menu very good and option to change your choice given daily. We couldn't fault breakfast which kept us full all day.The folder in the room was very informativeand suggestions of where to eat and what type of food a very useful guide. Plenty of guides to local attractions available.We will definitely be back

The single room was spacious enough for a 4 foot bed. Very comfortable bed too, and nice not to be overheated. The room was quiet even at the front of the house. Breakfast were good and filling, and my own bathroom was great. Maria and Chris were very welcoming hosts. Many thanks to you both.

I have stayed at Belle Dene quite a few times now and the owners are always very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts are tasty and well presented with a choice of full english and some lighter options also plenty of fruit cereals etc.. Beds are very comfortable, rooms well maintained and spotless.

Stay was brilliant, when we got there our room was ready this allowed us to check in early and go about our day instead of having to wait around.Room was spacious as we was upgraded to a bigger room. It was clean and tiday nice big shower. All the storage we needed. We hadn't booked breakfast but we asked could we have ut on the sunday. And this wasn't an issue.Breakfast was lovely tasty we both had a full english with ceral and toast. It is pre booked the night before. I would recommend the poached egg.Only downside to room one is a light about the dressing table would be good.Thank you we shall be staying again.

Our first time visiting Devon and we weren’t disappointed. The guest house was situated perfectly, just a short walk to the beach, pier, town centre.The Bus & Train station were situated in the town centre and easy to get to.The hosts Claire & Chris were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Chris & Marie were perfect hosts, always on hand should we need anything.Belle Dene is a clean, comfortable Guest House in an excellent position to access the sea front, town and the railway station.We travelled by car and had safe parking at the property and found it an excellent central base to explore Torbay.The breakfast choice was good and cooked exactly as we like it. When we come back to Paignton we will not hesitate to book Belle Dene again.

Such a lovely B & B..Chris & Maria made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived & cook the best breakfasts..the rooms are lovely very clean & comfortable with en suite bathrooms & TV & coffee/tea making facilities..location of B&B is so central..5 min walk to beach, promenade, Paignton pier, bars, restaurants also 5-10 min walk to high street...lots of shops.. cafes...restaurants...banks/cash machines...train station & bus station..public transoprt very accesible to take you to various towns in Devon....loved the old fashioned steam train journey & boat trips..highly recommend to stay in this B&B & visit Paignton..so enjoyed my stay thank you so much Chris & Maria we will definately be back 5 stars well deserved *****🥰 xxx

Guest house was absolutely SPOTLESS. I was met by Chris who showed me to room he was nice and friendly gave me info on the best chip ships! I came to stay to sit my final exam and was nervous but room was very comfortable maybe just a lil cold bed was extremely comfortable nice pillow was great. Breakfast in the morning was just what I needed before my exam. Lovely fruit perfect fry up. Maria was very attentive. Both wished me good luck for exam which was nice. 100% recommended place to stay.

From the minute we arrived to minute we left our stay was A class. My family and I were here from Canada.Our hosts were absolutely amazing. We were also supplied with everything that we needed From a kettle and condiments which were replenished everyday, toiletries, towels, hairdryer and a TV. What more could you ask for? Oh that would be the fantastic breakfast of your choice at your desired time, the best cooked full English breakfast ever and the scramble egg on toast was to die for! the best we've ever had. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was presented nicely and excellent value for money. You couldn't ask for better!Our room and bathroom were spotless. (The whole place was spotless.) We liked the environmentally friendly large refillable bottles of shampoo, shower gel and body lotion.The tea and coffee had nice little extras added like biscuits and chocolate. The bathroom also had thoughtful extra supplies, such as hand sanitiser, cotton pads and a sewing kit.The front garden is obviously very well loved and looked after.We were really pleased we chose Belle Dene!

Maria and Chris host a beautifully clean well run Guest House, where every thoughtful attention to detail for a relaxing stay has been thought of. From a welcoming first meeting to the best full English breakfast ever!! (and omelette) to tastefully refurbished clean rooms, you could not ask for more. Very clean and lovely crisp white bedding . Hosts very friendly , we arrived early and was offered tea and asked if we wanted to see room then . Breakfast lovely and plenty of choice and choice of times that you wanted to eat . I would recommend Belle Dene , short walk to beach and town centre, very good location.

I stayed alone, at this lovely guest house recently. The room I stayed in, room 4,was a lovely room, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It didn’t have an en suite but this was no problem as I had a lovely private shower room just down the hall. A robe was provided for the short journey. The shower room was again spotlessly clean. There was also a sink in the bedroom which was handy, along with tea and coffee making equipment, a good sized wardrobe, mirror and a hairdryer.In the morning the food was really lovely, I had yogurt and fresh fruit followed by a vegetarian breakfast, beautifully cooked, I have probably put on a few pounds as it was so good I just had to eat it all! I saw others having the traditional cooked breakfast and that looked really good, good size and variety.The hosts were really accommodating, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They even accommodated the extra early breakfast time I requested.The location is great for the station, bus station, the beach and shops. It’s also a pleasant walk to Torquay and Brixham. There are also parking spaces available.I would highly recommend this guest house.

The guesthouse is situated in the perfect spot to make the most of a stay in Paignton.Belle Dene is next to a lovely, well kept park. The sea front is only a short level 4 minute stroll. The Main Street with shop and good places to eat etc. is again 4 minutes level stroll.The guesthouse is lovely, clean and comfortable. Our room was well furnished withe lots of storage, a very comfortable bed and nice en-suite. The whole place is very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable.Breakfast was excellent, served up each morning by Chris and Maria, the lovely, friendly and helpful owners. Thanks Maria and Chris for being wonderful hosts on both my visits this spring. I wasn’t on holiday, but on family business, which involved nursing homes, banks, doctors, printing out forms, and other stressful things. They were super helpful and supportive. I arrived with jet lag and was super thirsty. My in room ’tea’ tray was endlessly replenished, they humored me with other extras and made everything so much better than it could have been. Love the new breakfast room, which Chris adapted between visits. Thanks so much, guys. I will be back.

Lovely friendly hosts.Excellent breakfast and plenty of it.Comfy bed, loads of cupboard and drawer space.Spotlessly clean en-suite with gorgeous toiletries.Great selection of tea/coffee making facilities in room plus yummy biscuits.A few minutes walking distance to pier/seafront/ shops and restaurants, even train/bus station, so you could leave your car parked up for your whole stay.

What a lovely couple Chris & Maria were. The chef (Chris) cooks a mean breakfast and the rooms are very clean and have a lot of nice touches. Great location for coastal walks, trains, pubs, restruants. Will I stay here again ?? Of course 100%.

Lovely stay. Both Maria and Chris are one of the best host we have met . The breakfast are plenty of choice. Nothing is too much trouble .They both like to make sure you as guests are happy . The house is very near to all the amenities. We as some of the other guests did not use our car. We used the bus which is very reasonably. Just returned from a wonderful stay at Belle Dene Guest House. Our room was very clean and tidy. Free parking is provided. There is a beautiful garden to the front with a table and chairs for guests to relax in. Breakfast was the best we've had, such a variety of choices. The most impressive aspect of our stay was Maria and Chris, the hosts. A warm and friendly couple, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Little touches like hot water bottles in a basket on the stairs, umbrella's for guests to use and Maria offering to fill our water bottles and pop them in the fridge on a daily basis made such a difference. We highly recommend Belle Dene as the prefect place to stay while exploring South Devon.

Been here before in the past and was always satisfied. Booked again for this year and met new owners Marie and Chris - very welcoming and polite. Due to traffic on M5 never got there till 7pm they waited in for us. Nice clean tidy room and huge breakfasts we honestly didn't eat till the evening time kept us going all day. We stayed for four nights and only wish we could have stayed longer.The place is spotlessly clean, the rooms are very comfortable with little extras which made us feel welcome.The breakfast is the best we have had anywhere and was freshly cooked and with fresh produce. Maria and Chris are the perfect hosts and always keen to answer any questions we had about the area.The location was great, just a two minute walk to the beach and shops, and just a few minutes more to a variety of restaurants and other venues. The bus station, train station and the Railway Steam Train are all within a five minute walk.This Guest House was recommended to us and we would certainly recommend it to others and we would hope to return again.

Greeted on arrival by hosts Maria and Chris who instantly made us welcome. They are very friendly helpful and affable couple. Accommodation spotless with excellent facility’s. Breakfast good quality and tasty produce and well cooked and presented. Bell Dene situated in ideal location walking distance to beach bars and harbour. Lovely park adjacent to the Guest house handy for children to burn off a little energy.Overall a very enjoyable stay as the sign on the door says arrived as guests left as friends. Would not hesitate to recommend this guest house to anyone.

Arrived at the Belle Deen greeted by Carol and David with tea and home made cake assisted to our room with luggage. This guest house was clean from top to bottom our room was clean comfortable, bottled shampoo body wash and moisturizer in the ensuite, the information book is well worth a read on restaurants in the area we found one we would never have found without it. even during COVID our room was cleaned daily during our stay, they where very COVID aware, breakfast was very nice homemade jams potatoe cakes and bread and Carol asked if I wanted more or anything else, nothing was too much for our hosts they are very friendly and made us most welcome would definitely stay here again it is also very central.THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL STAY

Great welcome when we arrived and lots of local information provided, which was useful.Rooms and en-suite were spotless with comfortable beds and pleasant decor.The breakfast provided had a good selection of items on the menu; local produce which I liked. One of our party was a vegetarian, and followed a gluten-free diet, the hosts were very accommodating providing a breakfast to these dietary requirements.All the other guests we meet were lovely. I would recommend this B&B for a visit if staying in the area.

We have just returned from staying at the belle dene for 4 great nights . We stayed in room 1 , which had a large comfy bed , tassimo machine , kettle , tv , and a mini google which we used to play music on or get the days weather . The bathroom was nice and large and had a great walk in shower .Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and cooked perfectly, I used to have waffles and bacon and they were homemade and tasted wonderful. You have to pick breakfast the night before unless you are going to have the same all wk , but that’s to do with COVID .The hosts Dave and Carol are really friendly and are doing a great job , felt very safe in the guest house , it’s very clean and just a lovely place to stay , you are greeted and shown to your room then invited for a brew and a piece of homemade cake . Will definitely stay again when we are next coming down to Devon , Thankyou again for a lovely stay .

It was our first stay at Belle Dene, have stayed at lots of Paignton B&Bs over the years but this has been our favourite so far, the room was light, bright and airy with plenty of space, furnished nicely with a larger than usual bathroom (room 6) the bathroom was fresh and modern, nice towels and toiletries provided, the hosts were very friendly and the breakfasts were hot, tasty and plentiful with plenty of choice, the morning filter coffee was very nice too, we will definitely return to Belle Dene again, top marks for Dave & Carol

What a lovely guest house Belle Dene turned out to be. Warm and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Carol and Dave are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was to a very high standard and set us up for the day. Covid-19 guidance all in place. Interesting garden and features. We arrived by train which was a 10-15 minutes’ walk away although parking was available had we driven. Sea just a few minutes’ walk with lots of restaurants and pubs. Highly recommend.

I would completely recommend The Belle Dene. It is spotlessly clean, the breakfast is excellent with great choices and they can’t do enough for you.

We visited this B&B during October 2020 after reading excellent reviews. We were welcomed by a warm drink and slice of cake. The room was nice and clean. It was ensuite and of a good size with plenty of storage. Breakfast was great and had ample choices. Hosts David and Carol were lovely, always interested in what we'd done during the day and had useful tips and local knowledge. There is free parking also on site. We will be back.

The hosts were very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was lovely and the b&b was in a great location, right by a park and a very short walk to the beach. Carol and Dave were also kind enough to let me keep my car there on the final day whilst we did a day trip on the steam train to Dartmouth.

Stayed here once before and simply everything is first class. Very welcoming hosts, comfortable room with everything you need, excellent breakfast, on site parking, very good value for money and Paignton's best pub (Henrys Bar) a couple of hundred yards away. What more could you want?

I booked this B&B mainly because it had parking and also that it had very high reviews. Nothing bad whatsoever could be said apart from the fact it’s not big enough because I think places like this get reviews that don’t really explain much but to me it was cosy and cute and has a perfect location and perfect hosts.

Not the prettiest outlook but everything else about this place was perfect. A warm welcome, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Lovely food, much of which was home produced including bread, marmalade and muesli. Close to the seafront too - an ideal location. Didn’t get to meet Carol but Dave was a delightful host. Would not hesitate to recommend this guesthouse - an absolute delight.

The welcome was warm and friendly . The room a little small and would need twin beds if stayed with my husband as double a little small . However slept very well. Very clean and so many nice touches like body lotion and shower gels.The breakfast was excellent and the quality of the food and cooking of good quality . Would definitely stay again . We have stayed with Dave and Carol on several occasions and it has always been an absolute pleasure. We always receive such a warm welcome the bedrooms are spotlessly clean and the homemade jams, marmalades and breakfast is wonderful. It is also in such a convenient location a few minutes stroll from the sea front and main Street. They have even gone to the trouble of reviewing local restaurants themselves and included it in the guest booklet in your room. For us there is no other place to stay in Paignton.

I could not recommend this B&B enough! We were treated just like close friends and were made to feel very welcome! The B&B was very homely, very clean and the breakfast was amazing. The location is very convenient (especially if your travelling via train or bus) your a 5 min walk from the train and bus station.

Yet again a lovely stay with David and Carole. I stayed with my sister and two nieces and we all enjoyed our stay. Lovely breakfasts!

I've stayed in the single room here on three occasionsand have nothing but praise for the owners. As you would expect nowadays the room comes with coffee and biscuits and a good wifi connection. The single room has a bathroom that is a short walk down the corridor but there is a wash basin in the bedroom to fill the kettle or wash your teeth. All other rooms have an integral toilet and shower. Breakfast, between 8 and 9 daily, is the usual full English or some lighter options plus toast, cereals, yogurt and fruit juices which was more than enough for me. The location is probably 250m from the station and the beach. The free car park was a big plus for me as I could leave my car there rather than in the adjacent multi story car park! Plenty of power points in my room for all the electronic gear that we carry nowadays. The bedroom table was a little cramped for computer work but I managed and the lack of kippers on the breakfast menu might disappoint some(!) but overall this is probably the best B&B for its price that I have been to in this area. If you choose to stay then you will not be disappointed.

This was my second stay at the Belle Dene where I received super yummy breakfasts, unmatched hospitality at a wonderfully clean Guest House. I cannot recommend Belle Dene highly enough.

Excellent short stay with extremely welcoming hosts. The twin bedded room we had was spotlessly clean, fantastic walk in shower (much appreciated). A varied breakfast menu was offered which was delicious. We appreciated the attention to detail at the Belle Dene. Our suitcases were carried to our room for us, hot water bottles were provided as it went cold at night. I would highly recommend this 4* guest house and will certainly visit there again.

The best B&B we've stayed in for a long time. We were made welcome with tea and cake on arrival and given lots of information about the best places to eat locally and what to visit. The house was spotless and the breakfasts are delicious with local produce and hone-made bread. The location was excellent for the seafront, the town and public transport. Big bonus - parking on site!

I stayed for tgree nights at Belle Dene, and had room 4, a single on the first floor. There is a washbasin in the room, but the private shower and toilet is down the landing. A bathrobe was provided. The room was nice and clean, and reasonably bright given that the small window is at a strange angle to the rest of the room. There is adequate storage, and plenty of power points (including USB sockets). The bed was comfortable.I enjoyed my stay, and would certainly stay here again. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and provided an excellent, high quality breakfast (including some of the best bacon I have had for a long time). Overall, it was very good value.

Carol and Dave were very welcoming. As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home! We were shown to our room by Dave, who also showed us around and told us about local places to eat, drink and visit in the area. Very clean and tidy. Daily room service.Breakfast was included in our rates, and that was excellent. They make their own bread, and bought as much produce as they could as locally as they could. This really showed in the quality of the breakfasts!All in all, we loved it, and will definitely stay there again, and will recommend to friends. Can't praise them enough!Thank you!!

My friend and I stayed 3 days. The whole house was very clean and very nice. The stairway might be a bit exhausting with large suitcases (just guessing) but everything else was amazing. The breakfast area was also used for eating take out by guests. The breakfast was also great. Even if you dont like the traditional english breakfast you would be happy with cereal, fruits, toast, eggs and nore. The atmosphere was like eating with friends. The other guests and Dave and Carol were very nice and recommended activites for the day or gave directions. Last but not least the decor of the house was great. I would discribe it as british cute with sea atmosphere. the location of the hotel ia also great. Near the sea, great for walks, but also near the mainstreet. Just stay there and see for yourself. Believe me you will not be disappointed. I will definitly stay there again.

Carol and Dave gave us a warm and freindly welcome on arrival, we got tea and homemade cake which was lovely. Our room was lovely, breakfast was great. highly recommend stopping here and we will being stopping here again.

From the second we arrived, Carol and Dave welcomed us like old friends. Our room was spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing. They offered a vegetarian option and the food was beautifully presented and the home made bread was delicious. I forgot to try the home made marmalade but will certainly do so when we return. Enjoyed our 2 night stay very much at Belle Dene. Dave & Carol were very welcoming. The Room was clean & the bed comfortable. Tea & Coffee & biscuits in the room as well as bottles water. The Breakfast was superb, defiantly more than enough to set you up for the day. Paignton Pier is at the bottom of the road & the town centre 3 minutes walk the other way. The biggest bonus for me was Free off road parking, A lot of other guests houses you have to park in the street or Multi storey.Thank you Again Dave & Carol, will cetainly book you again when we are in the area.

We are home now from a lovely relaxing break at Belle Dene Guesthouse. Carol and Dave make you so welcome and food is first class even the bread is home made and delicious. Rooms etc were spotless. I had a wonderful stay at Belle Dene for a weekend when I was travelling alone. From the wonderful welcome when I arrived to the great daily welcome at breakfast each day.Never was it a problem that I was a single traveller, unlike some places who frown upon a single person.Breakfast here is one of the best breakfasts I have have ever had in a any B&B ever!My room was very clean and very comfortable with everything I could ask for.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bell Dene to anyone, nor will I look elsewhere next time I need to say in Paignton!

We arrived early,made ourselves known to Carol and Dave and said we'd get out the way for a couple of hours,It wasn't a problem to them we were offered a coffee or tea and shown to our room.What a lovely welcome.The room was spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed,the en-suite was clean and all shampoos,body wash, hand cream and hairdryer all provided.The breakfast couldn't be faulted everything you could ask for and the specials board added by Carols singing to the radio as breakfast was being prepared 😂 Both were informative of what was on and where to go around the area. This is a gem of a B and B couldn't ask for more

If you want a comfortable, spotlessly clean guesthouse with charming hosts then look no further as Belle Dene ticks all the boxes. The location is great as its close to the shops, park and seafront but has the added bonus of being tucked away up a quiet side street. There are many good restaurants, bars and coffee shops all within easy walking distance. Another bonus is you have free off road parking and the best home cooked breakfast you could ever wish for. If we stay in Paignton again it will be in the Belle Dene Guest House.

We were given a very warm welcome from both Carol and Dave which included a cup of tea and a piece of homemade cake. Room was spotless and serviced everyday. Dave's breakfast everyday was excellent and such a good choice with good quality products.

Excellent stay right from the start made to feel most welcomed. We were given a pot of tea each and homemade cake on arrival to recover from our journey. The room, ensuite was a touch of luxury that we need for a one night get away from our hectic work schedule. A relaxing afternoon sent 5 mins away on the ses front and a sunny days fishing in Brixham the next day. A perfect escape, will be coming back when we can, hopefully for a lot longer.10/10

My mum & I spent 2 nights at the Belle Dene Guest House & had a wonderful stay. Carol & David are so friendly & welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble & we felt we had known them for years, even though this was our first stay. The rooms were very comfortable and impeccably clean. Breakfast was a great start to the day & as a vegetarian, was pleased that they happily catered for me. Definitely recommend this B&B, you will not be disappointed.

As this was our first holiday as a family was a little nervous, as soon as we came to the belle dene and had such a warm reception I knew I had picked the right place. As my little boy is only 17 months old I was provided a cot and toys and carol and dave couldn't do enough if I need anything, we are so happy we have already booked for next year,would 100% recommend staying here

We stayed two nights at the Belle Dene Guest House in Paignton.From the moment we were cordially greeted by David at the door and crossed the threshold we relaxed.Tea and home-made fruit-cake in their colourful, aromatic garden started the five-star experience.Their eye for detail was always in evidence.Our evening restaurant was recommended and booked in advance for us.This was so good we returned the second evening.David's experience in the higher echelons of catering education was evident in the quality and presentation of the breakfast both mornings.Carol's home-made bread admirably enhanced the two meals.Their outgoings natures generate a lively atmosphere whilst not being intrusive.It is all gold we can say nor more.

Having just spent 6 days at Belle Dene guest house, I cannot praise Dave and Carol enough. They are the perfect hosts, always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The food is excellent which is either homemade or locally sourced, the full English breakfast was a great starter for the day and the daily specials would not be out of place in a top London Hotel. Rooms always clean and tidy, even has private parking which makes life so much easier being right in the middle of Paignton. The welcome at breakfast is always warm and bubbly and nothing is ever too much trouble. A must to make your stay in Paignton trouble free and very enjoyable.

The Belle Dene is a great B&B in Paignton. It was very clean and nicely decorated. We had free water and tea/coffee facilities in the room and delicious full English (including Vegetarian Full English) made to order in the morning. The location is great, with a two minute walk to the beachfront and pier, and free parking available outside the B&B. Carol and Dave were extremely friendly and welcoming and made our stay really enjoyable.

My husband and I stayed in this Guest House for four nights. On arrival we were greeted with smiles and a cup of tea and homemade cake, made by Dave one of the owners. Throughout our stay Dave and Carol, were amazing. Their guest house was so clean and immaculate. Dave and Carol were able to recommend various good restaurants and their knowledge of the local area was so helpful to us. Our room was lovely and quiet with tea making facilities, bottled water and biscuits everyday. Breakfast everyday was amazing, plenty of choice each day, offering fresh local produce. The acomodation is only a 5 mins walk to the beech, the shops and the train station! We will recommend this guest house to all our friends and family. Thank you Dave and Carol for a great holiday.

We had a great 3 day stay, The house is spotless and the welcome genuine and friendly. From the very welcome cup of tea and homemade cake to the fabulous breakfasts with lots of choice and fresh fruit everyday nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was very comfortable and the extras like quality bath products and cotton wool were appreciated. The location is ideal, close to the front but quiet and with off street parking. When we come back to Devon we will definitely return.

We have just spent an amazing week at Belle Dene Guest House. We have found a very SPECIAL JEWEL amongst all the other guest houses. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable in every respect.Any guest would find it difficult to find a speck of dirt in this spotlessly clean house. Fabulously beautiful garden to sit in, so relaxing with the sound of the fountain and the fragrance from the gorgeous flowers and plants, especially so with a coffee and a slice of Daves home made fruit cake! Breakfast was a very tasty experience including scrummy home made bread, no cheap food in this establishment! Dave and Carol are such friendly hosts and made us feel at home instantly. They were both very helpful with useful information with regard for things to do and see in the area which they had actually done themselves, meaning they could give a positive opinion.We will be back in November and looking forward to it already! The welcome here is first class, the hosts are attentive and very friendly, the breakfast is delicious, freshly made right down to home made bread and the guest house is beautifully decorated. The linen is good quality and the whole place has a great feel. There is safe parking. We would not hesitate to book here again. For the price it is fantastic.

Our room was very clean and tidy, the hospitality was extremely friendly and the breakfast was yummy. We would definitely stay again if we were down in Paignton.

Me and my partner had a 2 night stay at the belle dene andit was absolutely faultless. On arrival we were met by dave and carol. What a lovely couple. We were given tea and fruitcake which my other half demolished lol. Told us about the local places to go for a drink. Rooms were spotless and the breakfast each morning was stunning. Will definitely be returning as we had such a welcome off dave and carol. Probably the best welcome we have ever had when we have gone away.

We arrived early after a 5 hour journey and not only could we book in straight away but Dave the owner carried our case upstairs and then made us a cup of coffee and gave us each a piece of cake! What a welcome! Our room was delightful and breakfast each day was freshly cooked and delicious. Would recommend this establishment to anyone and we would definitely stay there again. David and Carol invited me into their home with a pot of tea and a warm mince pie .. a everywhere was spotless, bathroom was modern with top brand shower gel / shampoo .. Dave does a great full English with muesli / cereal / yoghurt and fresh orange juice also available .. Looking forward to my next stay in late spring :)

We stay in Paignton several times a year and after the warm welcome we received we will definitely be staying again.

We arrived at the Belle Deane House and we were warmly greeted by Carol and Dave. Dave helped us up to our room and Carol made a lovely hot drink and a piece of home made fruit cake which we had in the garden. We were very happy about our two night stay and found that nothing was too much trouble. The room No 5 was on the second floor and it was set up for every thing we would need. The breakfast was very very good. Tasty and the sort of breakfast to set you up for the day.All to quickly it was time to go with thoughts of a return visit. This was my first time in Paignton and I will be returning.Belle Dene is a short walk from the seafront and the town, and is ideally situated for travel to nearby Brixham and Torquay.The owners, Dave and Carol, met us on arrival with a smile and that continued throughout the 3 days we spent with them.The accommodation itself was nice and clean and our room (5) had all you could need including a nice bed. My only suggestion would be that the woodchip wallpaper, which was on all walls and even the ceiling, should be consigned to the 80's from whence it came.However I am sure that Dave and Carol will sort that out in time.Breakfast was lovely, with a choice of cooked items as well as cereals, fruit etc. Dave does the cooking and he's pretty good.His poached eggs were as good as you can get.My experience of B&B's is limited but I can't imagine a better place, all round.Great value for money and lovely, friendly hosts.Perfect.Thanks.

Dave and Carol have a sign on their hallway wall which reads(Arrive as guests leave as friends).Totally agree.The B&B is ideally situated close to the seafront and close to the shops.Has car parking for 6 cars.Our room was room 6 decorated in a nautical theme.Nice and quiet over looking the Victoria Gardens.I would recommend this B&B to friends and family however if you have mobility problems i would recommend rooms 1,2 and 3.xxx

Lovely Bed and Breakfast, extremely clean, good location right on the front opposite the Pier, lovely, welcoming proprietors, good selection of breakfast, would return to this Bed & Breakfast most definitely.

It was good to find that not only was the welcome as warm as advertised, but the food was generally locally sourced and the bread homemade. Room adequate, clean and comfortable and quieter than one might have expected from being so central. Only disadvantage was bathroom being down the corridor, but generally good value and will probably return in September.

We stayed with Dave and Carole, from Thursday 11th June for 3 nights as we had a Christening to attend in Marldon on the Sunday. The Belle Dean was a delightful choice, we have been to Paignton many times but usually stay with friends. The Belle Dean was very clean with comfy beds and pillows, the rooms were cleaned and made up everyday, the breakfast was delicious, Carole and Dave are very welcoming and really cant do enough for you. The location is great, a short walk from everywhere!!There are hundreds of B&Bs in Painton, I chose The Belle Dean because of its good reviews and because Belle is my mums name....I will certainly be back..

Having worked with Carol there was no doubt in my mind that they would run a very good B&B. The room is small but I had a very good nights sleep on all three nights of our stay. Dave cooked us a very nice morning meal that should have a gold star, I could not have done better. We will be booking for a week in September 2016 nad already cannot wait. Well done Carol and Dave.

Wir haben drei Nächte im Belle Dene bei Carol und Dave verbracht.Es war eine so tolle Zeit, dass der Abschied richtig schwer fiel und wir gerne noch länger bei den beiden geblieben wären. Wir haben uns wie bei Freunden gefühlt. Alles was sehr persönlich und herzlich. Zur Begrüßung gab es selbstgebackenen Früchtekuchen und Englischen Tee, das Frühstück wurde frisch für uns gekocht und die Zimmer sind mit kleinen persönlichen Gegenständen lieb eingerichtet.Und selbst als unser Meitwagen eine Reifenpanne hatte, haben Carol und Dave sich herzlich um uns gekümmert. Wir haben uns von den beiden toll unterstützt gefühlt!Das B&B liegt sehr zentral. Zum Meer und der Innenstadt sind es nur einen Katzensprung. Auch die Umgebung lässt sich von Paignton aus perfekt erkunden.Ich würde Carol und Dave jederzeit wieder besuchen!!!

We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay: we were quite early and as we were waiting for the last of our guests, we were offered tea and cake in the garden; lovely clean rooms; great selection of drinks; nice products in the bathrooms; very good full English and range of other breakfast options. I really felt that the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we really enjoyed it. I find it hard to fault!

After a long journey we were met with a friendly warm welcome and were delighted with our cosy, comfortablebedroom offering a (distant) sea view.Best of all was the delicious breakfast - loved the Breakfast Special of the day (idea) chalked up on a board - an original touch for breakfast.We were only passing through and stayed one night however the location was ideal as it was quiet and yet within walking distance of the sea front, theatre and local restaurants.

2nd stay at Belle Dene and just as good as before. We had the family room as since the last stay my bump had become a baby. The room was small but was fine for the 3 of us. Carol & Mike kindly let us use their travel cot which saved some room in our car. The room was well equipped and the bathroom in very good condition.They also allowed us to use their microwave to sterilize our daughters bottles which was brilliant.Again the breakfast was exceptional.We would definitely stay here again.

Carole and Davix were wonderful hosts, very welcome and even delivered a. Complimentary tea and cake to our rooms on arrival.The whole house, including bathrooms and bedrooms were immaculate.The decor was very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.The breakfast menu was good and food delicious, including home made bread and decaf coffee requested. Would definitely recommend this very welcome bed and breakfast to my friends and family visiting the area.

The Belle Dene B&B is a small friendly establishment which was perfect for our visit.We were visiting due to a funeral, the owners were very sympathetic and allowed us to check in before the alloted check in time.The rooms were clean and well stocked with tea & coffee, and toiletries. The shower room was clean and all facilites were in working order.The bed was comfortable and the room temperature the same. I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time so these things were quite important!!The breakfast was extremely good. Full english cooked well and tasted great. There were other options available.I would recommend this bed & breakfast to friends and family and would also stay there again.Thank you to Carol & David for a pleasant stay.

We stayed here for one night to visit my parents.We were greeted in the car park David, he took our case and led us to our room wher we were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and tidy the bed was very comfortable and wife and i had a lovely nights sleep.We would definitely stay here again, well recommended.

This was our first time staying in Paignton with an idea to see the sea and visit the brilliant zoo without the stress of a same day travel.It is the small things that count and Dave and Carol have ticked all the boxes and more. From a warm welcome at the door where Dave had already known my name from the booking and provided complimentary hot drinks and a lovely treat, to the wonderfully decorated and clean room. A sound nights sleep soon followed.In the morning the breakfast was held in a quaint dining room, served with locally sourced produce for a traditional and delicious start to the day.We were sorry that we only stayed one night and shall definitely be returning again.

We stayed at the Belle Dene for a four night break. We found Carol & Dave to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a wide range of hot and cold choices of superb quality. Room was very comfortable, clean and relaxing. Location was very good with ample private parking. We would definitely not hesitate to recommend this guest house, and we look forward to returning in the near future.

We were visiting Paignton for an evening reception and booked Belle Dene based on it's good reviews. We were not disappointed at all. A lovely cosy guest house with a warm welcome. Our room was lovely, clean and cosy with a modern beach theme throughout. Tea/coffee and bottled water was available.The en-suite was small but spotless with enough towels and shower gel/shampoo available. Breakfast was a choice of traditional full English, vegetarian, lighter option together with a daily special plus cereals, juice. We both had the full English and I can honestly say that this was probably the best cooked breakfast I have had whilst staying away! The only thing I would change is to put some background music on in the dining room, but that is more personal choice rather than a criticism. Thank you for a lovely short stay, we will definitely return if in the area again.

Dave & Carol were perfect hosts and far exceeded expectations! They even went online and printed a list of rooms available to rent for my son. The twin room was immaculate, spotlessly clean with the usual tea/coffee making facilities. Full English Breakfast was delicious and the room rate extremely competitive. I will be returning soon to visit my son and will not book anywhere else. The B & B is next door to the green with pond and swans yet still only 5 mins walk to the town and stones throw away from the beach.I advise you book early and see for yourself !!!.

What a delightful surprise is Belle Dene!! Lovely decor, impeccibly clean, extremely well furnished and the friendliest owners one could ever find. On top of it all, David is a true chef and he produces a fantastic breakfast -- to order. Carole is the other half of this host team and is a delight to meet. We didn't intend to stay in Paington, it just worked into our travels. But we will probably go back again because staying at the Belle Dene is worth the trip.

From the moment we arrived you made us so welcome, Our room was very comfortable and I had the best night's sleep in ages. The situation is perfect - quiet but only 200m from the beach. The house has been decorated beautifully with all sorts of details that make it feel personal.Guests and owners were wonderfully welcoming and relaxed. The food is adaptable and delicious. Back next month !

We stayed for two nights only but would be very happy to stay longer. The friendly owners went beyond what we would expect to make us feel at home. The room and on-suite was kept very clean and the breakfast provided could not be faulted. The location was excellent for visiting the area, with lots to see and do. An excellent 3 night stay with Carol and Dave in the Belle Dene, the room was all that we wanted and more. Staying in room number 1 it was spacious for two adults and a 5 year old.The cooked breakfast each morning was superb as to was the home made bread. All in all an excellent stay with a great family feel. Oh and a great welcome much needed after a traffic ridden journey, the scones and tea were a great welcome.We would highly recomend the Belle Dene and would stay again.Neil, Sarah & Kieran.
