If you love animals, then the world famous Paignton Zoo is only a 6 minute drive away from Belle Dene or in nearby Torquay you will find Living Coasts. Birdwatchers can soon get to Berry Head or Dawlish Warren If you fancy a spot of shopping then Torquay has a great selection of shops, or a 45 minute drive will get you to Historical Plymouth or the City of Exeter If you are feeling a little more energetic, then you are spoilt for choice with the South West Coastal Path literally passing within a few hundred yards of the guest house and cycle tracks and walking routes all around Dartmoor which is not far to drive to. Fishing trips can be organised from Paignton Harbour and for the adventurers there is Coasteering, Kayaking and Paddle boarding from Goodrington.
